Every urn I create is completely hand crafted.  I use local hardwoods such as Maple, Cherry and Walnut.  The lids and finials are usually made from exotic woods such as Ebony, African Blackwood or Cocobolo.  Each piece of wood is selected for its colour and grain pattern.

When the vessel is complete, I fit a collar with hand cut threads into the opening.  The threaded collar allows easy entry into the urn while keeping the lid securely in place.

Although the size and shape can be replicated, each piece of wood is completely unique.  This makes every urn a one of a kind piece.  They can also be stained various colours including blue, green, yellow, red or black.  I use various finishes on the urns to achieve either a matte, satin or gloss finish.
